Ethics & Society
Project Leader: Hank Edmondson (Charter iPodder)
Professor, Government & Sociology

The world's most important ethical philosophies are brought to light via podcast lectures, music, and speeches that illustrate themes, provoke disussion and broaden minds. Students listen to "The Doors" and immediately understand Nietzshe a little better. Martin Luther King's I Have a Dream speech takes students back in time as they become part of the listening audience. Songs about and against war are as timely and relevant today as they were in the 60s. iPods put all of these experiences directly in the students' hands for listening and learning anytime, anywhere.

Edmondson is one of our Founding Podfathers and has been using iPods in his classes since we began the iPod Initiative in 2001.
