Studies in No Place

Freshman Honors Seminar
Project Leader: Robert Viau (Charter iPodder)
Professor, English
Assistant Director, Honors & Scholars Program

An extensive music & image library synced to student iPods from Dr. Viau's mothership G5, enables students to make important interdisciplinary connections involving music and the visual and literary arts; enhances their awareness of music styles and forms from around the world; and builds community---specifically the honors community---through the sharing of music and the collaborative accumulation of an honors program playlist. by combining music, art, architecture and literature, iPods spawn interdisciplinary connections for honors students as they examine elements of a utopia or dystopia.

Viau is one of our Founding Podfathers and has been using iPods in his classes since we began the iPod Initiative in 2001.
